I am a family mediator registered with FMC as working towards accreditation and developing my practice in line with professional standards. I practise with an accredited Professional Practice Consultant (PPC) mediating child and financial cases.

The process starts with an initial 45 minute MIAM for each participant. If your situation is suitable for mediation and both parties are happy to proceed, you will then move into mediation sessions.
Mediation is not a one size fits all process. The time taken to reach accord or agreement will vary depending on your unique family circumstances.

Most mediation sessions last around two hours.
As a general guide, lower conflict cases may be resolved in two to three sessions.
Some cases require further sessions where there are more issues to work through.
Higher conflict or more complex cases can take longer depending on the issues involved.
